THE SHANN GROUP APPOINTED EXCLUSIVE IMPORTER FOR AMANN THREADS IN AUSTRALIA

MELBOURNE, VIC, Mar. 16, 2023 – The Shann Group and Amann Group are excited to announce the appointment of The Shann Group as the exclusive importer of Amann thread into Australia.

For those not familiar with both companies, Amann Group, head-quartered in Germany, are one of the largest thread companies in the world, with an impressive 168-year-old history. Amann manufacture a wide range of extremely high-quality threads, including familiar brand names; Saba, Rasant, Rasant Oxella, Isacord, Strongbond and Serafil. Amann are also key suppliers into the retail and haberdashery thread markets under the brand name Mettler.

The Shann Group boast an almost 70-year-old history, with seven offices and warehouses around Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, supplying a broad range of products, with thread being a foundation product for the company.

Simplicity Pty Ltd, who have been joint importers of Amann thread with Shann, soon will no longer be a distributor for the Amann range of threads. Their stock will transfer to Shann in early May and updates with more exact details will be made closer to the transfer date. In the meantime, and during the transition period, as Shann increase stocks, it will be business as usual. If you currently purchase from Simplicity, please continue to do so until the end of April.
